The RFI CD28-41-50-158 VHF Mopole™ Antenna delivers a 3 dB gain at the factory-set 158 MHz centre frequency and operates across 148 – 175 MHz after field tuning. Supplied with an MBC right-angle SO-239 roof-mount base (cable not included), this ground-independent, no-tune antenna excels on non-traditional mounting points such as gutters, mirrors, or trunk lips. A patented matching circuit sealed in a virtually indestructible thermoplastic body and a flexible 17-7 PH stainless-steel whip.

Notes:
- Mopole antennas such as the CD28 have been shown to exhibit a 3 dB improvement in received signal level in the field when compared to a ¼ wave whip however in pattern tests exhibit only 1.5 to 2 dB over a ¼ wave (equivalent to 1.5-2 dBi). This improvement in performance can be attributed to a lower radiation angle level of these ground independent antennas.
