An unused port is not a harmless port. Leave one open on a splitter, coupler or combiner and it reflects energy straight back into the system — isolation collapses, VSWR climbs, and the intermodulation products that a low-PIM install was built to avoid appear anyway. RFI SP0000-6002-4.3 2W termination presents a matched load across DC–3.8 GHz on a 4.3-10 male interface, so every port on the network sees what it expects to see.
Product Features:
- 2 W power rating with a DC–3.8 GHz operating range — covers every current Australian cellular band including 3.5 GHz 5G.
- 4.3-10 male interface, the low-PIM standard on modern DAS and carrier systems.
- Purpose-built RF termination — not a generic resistor cap: the whole point is a controlled match across the band.
- Part of a power ladder (2, 10, 30 and 50 W) so you can terminate anything from a monitor tap to a live branch.
Application Areas:
- Terminating unused ports on splitters, couplers and combiners.
- Bench testing and tuning transmitters without radiating.
- Commissioning and fault-finding on DAS and repeater systems.
Selection & Installation Notes:
- Match the rating to the port: a monitor or coupled tap needs only 2–10 W, while a splitter branch carrying real transmit power needs 30–50 W. If you are unsure what a port will see, tell us the system and we will size it.
- One load per unused port — a splitter with two spare outputs needs two.
- Torque the 4.3-10 to specification. A low-PIM interface that is finger-tight is not a low-PIM interface.
- RFI publishes the full electrical detail (VSWR, PIM, dimensions) on request — ask us for the datasheet if your specification requires it.
