A failing receive antenna does not announce itself. Coverage quietly shrinks, calls drop at the edges, and nobody knows why until someone climbs the tower. This RFI SP1318-4440-NNLP1RU VHF four-port line coupler is how sites find out sooner: it injects test tones into the receive line and monitors what comes back, so antenna and feeder health can be measured continuously — without interrupting normal operation. It is the VHF member of the family, covering 130-180 MHz.
Product Features:
- 130-180 MHz coverage; 40 dB (±1 dB) coupling loss into the monitored line.
- Very low through-loss: 0.3 dB maximum insertion loss, so receive sensitivity is preserved.
- Four-port design with N female connectors throughout; ≥19 dB return loss.
- 50 W maximum input power; −25 °C to +65 °C operating range.
- 1RU 19-inch rack mounting — designed to live permanently in the site rack.
Application Areas:
- Continuous receive-path monitoring at repeater and base sites.
- Antenna and feeder VSWR measurement as part of a site monitoring system.
- Remote and hard-to-access sites where a tower climb is expensive.
Selection & Installation Notes:
- This is monitoring infrastructure for the RECEIVE side — it is designed to work with a site monitoring system such as RFI's Site Vantage, not as a standalone meter.
- A line coupler is not a receiver multicoupler: this measures line health, while a multicoupler distributes one receive antenna to several receivers. Sites often need both, and we stock multicouplers too.
- Match the model to your band — the three variants (VHF, UHF and 700/800/900 MHz) are not interchangeable.
- Tell us your monitoring platform and we will confirm the integration before you order.
