The X10DR Talkback Microphone transforms your X10DR gateway into a vehicle dispatch console, enabling seamless communication between users inside and outside the vehicle. The device allows a user inside the vehicle to maintain full contact with X10DR handset users operating outside while also providing instant access to the host radio network. A top grey control button serves as a toggle for the side PTT button, switching between radio network communication (blue LED) and local talk around communication (green LED). Users can also configure the PTT buttons to match their preferred setup.

• Press once → Side PTT becomes Talk around Transmit (Green LED) for local communication.
• Press again → Side PTT switches to Radio PTT (Blue LED) for network communication.

Designed with backward compatibility, the Talkback Microphone works seamlessly with X10DR Elite, Pro, and Plus Series models. It can even connect to the original first-generation X10DR system using an XIB-TA interface box and necessary cables. The microphone also includes an emergency duress alarm capability, allowing users to trigger an emergency mode on the connected host mobile radio. Additionally, if an X10DR wireless handset user activates their emergency duress button, the Talkback Microphone's LED will briefly glow red, and the X10DR gateway can be programmed to emit an audible alert.
