Wireless Testing Service

Why Wireless Testing?

Field testing is an important part of the telecommunications industry as it enables service providers to ensure that their networks perform optimally. The data gathered during field testing provides valuable insights into how the network performs in different locations and conditions. These insights are then used to optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve the overall quality of service for customers. Moreover, field testing is also essential for ensuring that networks comply with regulatory requirements.

Identify Network Issues

Finding issues that could cause service interruptions or negatively impact the user experience

Optimise Network Performance

Identify areas for improvement & make the necessary adjustments to enhance network performance

Enhance Customer Experience

Improve CX by improving call quality data transfer rates and signal strength

Meet Regulatory Requirements

Test & confirm that the network meets the regulatory requirements

Wireless Testing Categories

Drive Testing

Drive testing is the most common type of field testing, which involves driving a specially equipped vehicle through a designated area while collecting data on network performance metrics. The testing equipment is used to measure call quality, signal strength, and data transfer rates. Drive testing is ideal for testing the performance of networks on the move, such as in a moving car or train. Cluster Drive Test Assess the performance of wireless communication networks in a specific geographic area (cluster). Highways Drive Test Evaluate the performance of wireless communication networks on highways and other major roadways.

Walk Testing

Walk testing is used in areas where network coverage is difficult to obtain by driving or where pedestrian traffic is high. In this type of field testing, a tester walks through a designated area while carrying a testing device to gather network data. The equipment used in walk testing is typically lightweight and portable, making it easy for the tester to move around and collect data. Hot-spot Walk Test Walking through a designated area, such as a building or public space to test the network services Spectrum Analysis Analysis of radio frequency (RF) signals in a specific frequency range to identify sources of interference

In-Building Testing

In-building testing involves measuring network performance inside buildings, such as offices or apartment buildings, to identify areas where network coverage is weak or non-existent. In-building testing typically involves installing testing equipment inside a building and collecting data on network performance metrics, such as signal strength and data transfer rates. Single Site Surveys Assessment of a specific site location to evaluate the network’s coverage, signal strength, interference levels, and other performance metrics.
