Mopole antennas, CD93, demonstrate a significant 6.5 dB increase in received signal level in practical field conditions compared to a standard 1/4 wave whip antenna. However, pattern tests reveal a more modest improvement of only 1.5 to 2 dB over a 1/4 wave (equivalent to 1.5-2 dBi). This enhanced performance can be attributed to the lower radiation angle of these ground-independent antennas.
